Problems starting on a new turbo install
I bought an FMax/Turbonetics stage 2 kit to put onto my 94 gsr last may and due to college got around to the install last week. When i went to start my car, the engine turned over, but didn't fire. I double checked all of my wiring to the turbo accesseries (timing controler and fuel injector mapper) and tried again. Still no luck. I then checked for spark at the plugs and found none. I needed to replace my plugs, cap, and rotor, so i went ahead and did that. Still no spark. I used a multimeter to check the voltage and amperage from my battery all the way to my coil (as best as i could) and everything checked out except that the voltage only read 6v on the positive terminal of the coil (grounded against a constant ground). Could this be a problem with the coil or a short somewhere that i couldn't check? It ran excellent up until i was rearended in may (insurance bought the turbo
) and then it had a few troubles starting on the first try. It has kinda sat dormant since then. I am completely puzzled at why it won't spark. If anyone has any ideas i could try, please let me know. Thanks.

I have a f-max kit in my 2000 gsr. do you have the f max piggy back hooked up? Well if you do check the instalation on the computer. did you even get the car running with the turbo kit installed? when I got mine running it ran like crap the 2 injecters on the intake pipe is bullshit it ran super rich and felt like my motor was going to blow up. Also had problems starting the motor was always flooded. so I just went the old fashion was bought 4 440 rc injecters fuel pump fmu and now I use a VAFC as my piggy back. these might not be your problem but I hope it helps.
ya i have the piggy back hooked up. I got it running once without the fmu or the msd timing controller hooked up, but when i hooked them back up it wouldn't run. I tried starting it without the controllers again, but it wouldn't start. It is definately running really rich, and my entire garage smells like gas everytime i crank the engine. I'll def try what you did and see if it helps, thanks.
Unfortunately that didn't work
. I think the problem is with my coil, but it if i buy one and that is not the problem, i can't return it. I removed the coil but it didn't look damaged or fried. Is there any way that I can check to make sure it is broke using a multimeter or anything?

Check to make sure all your wiring has good connection and is not grounding/shorting out. If you have a friend with a 94-95 GSR you could swap in the distributor and see if it will start...narrow down your options.

Maybe you're putting to heavy of a load on the engine. If you have anything that concerns the MAP sensor, make SURE IT IS WIRED CORRECTLY! When I did my turbo install, I didn't wire correctly to the MAP sensor, and my integra wouldn't start because of this HUGE push of fuel into the engine.
But if it's electrical, did you try unhooking things? Say, the turbo timer? Just to see if the problem is the load amount on the coil?
