Agreed. The OEM piece is better swapped instead of modified.

CAI will definitely help. Also, if you are interested in a Skunk2 GSR Intake Manifold, PM me. Good deals may happen

CAI if you are looking for better performance. SRI if you are looking for noise.

definetly more interested in performance. So what EPOCH said about the SRI isn't correct? CAI will give more power throught powerband?

Whether a SRI or a CAI is better depends on the type of engine and the airflow into your engine bay. On a K20 (RSX), the CAI is better than the SRI due to engine placement and how it manages intake flow. On B18C1 blocks, because of their airflow requirements and the openess of the bay, a SRI will outperform a CAI. It's an application-by-application basis as to what will perform better. So, as an FYI, the SRI on B18C series integras will outperform CAIs.

Can't say for sure, as they do have different intake requirements and I haven't seen a dyno comparison of them side by side in the same machine on the same day

I'm new to this car stuff...With a cold air intake what do you have to worry about with water?

if you get the filter element COMPLETELY submerged under water you will risk sucking up water into your combustion chamber and as u know liquids do not compress so boom, ur engine hydrolocks

on the issue with the SRI vs.CAI
on the b series engines vtec/non vtec its better to go with a SRI because of the placement of the manifold and distance of the tube and filter to the manifold
i know of a fact that the SRI aem DOES outperform the AEM CAI in dyno tests
btw sri tends to give you more topend power while CAI add midrange and low end grunt
so it u have a b18b non vtec id go with a CAI, and if u have a gsr b18c1 then the SRI is a better choice
