How are your roads? If they are chewed up, really low will sort of suck. Do your go first, then show if you have money left, I always say. Wheels and tires have a huge impact, both on performance and appearance, followed by supension and brakes. Just swapping new pads on there will surprise you on how fast it will stop
Idono about the rest of these guys but there are nice body kits out there on the market. I always liked the Bomex kit and the OEM lip kit or WW lip kit. I have the JP lip kit that I had imported from Japan and its full polyurethane. I like it.
JDM is the new rice, and once all these guys come to the conclusion that there is no way in hell there car will be JDM unless its right hand drive then dont listen to them
I give props to any car that looks CLEAN and not RICE.

Thanks all for your help. I'm really excited about doing this. It's gonna take a little bit of time to collect money and all, but dammit it will be done.
tegrachic - it's always great to have other chicas who are doing the same thing. Maybe we can pose for each others cars? :hahano: Even though I agree with you (and everyone else who said it) my personal preference is not enough for me. I need something to go by - a model so-to-speak, ya know? Not looking for something to copy part-for-part but for ideas.
KAUAI KANE = Okay, picture this: black stock integra with previously mentioned mods. The paint is scuffed in some spots and a few little dents from where I was hit-and-run and the driver's side turn signal is dangling and the plastic part is missing. Oh yeah. Hotness coming through.
Your advice about dropping it and such is a good idea and I'll more than likely go for that first.dean_smits = Speeding is illegal. :lmfao: Woo! That's precious! Who'da thunk it??
j/k
I do actually have chips that give it an extra like 9 HP or something, I don't remember, but I took it out because it was sucking a lot of gas and couldn't afford to get gas every other day. When the chip was in there though I did however go to Pep Boys and purchase some turbo-juice then filled the tank with high octane fuel. Got a NICE jump with speed there. Was fun driving down I-95 :driving:
I'll definately use the search option because I have more questions. Mostly about lowering and coilovers and the difference, blah blah blah. But I'll look around before asking.
Study up on spring rates.
I went with Neuspeed sport springs which have a progressive spring rate. It's a nice comfortable stock like ride.
Progressive spring rates are geared toward comfort. Linear rates are stiffer and ideal for a track suspension setup. Don't just buy a setup, research a little. Also you get what you pay for.
Also I'm a fan of urethane bushings myself. All my shock/shifter bushings are urethane, feels real nice IMO.
Just my two cents!

Okay...little confused here. I looked in the search link about coilovers and shocks/springs but I couldn't find anything that would tell me the difference between the two. The only thing that turned up were people asking what brand of coilovers or shocks or springs to get, pics of new springs/shocks or what their car looks afterwards.
Can someone just explain to me in layman's terms what the difference is in getting coilovers and shocks/springs? Please? And what the pros and cons are of the two?
