Okay...little confused here. I looked in the search link about coilovers and shocks/springs but I couldn't find anything that would tell me the difference between the two. The only thing that turned up were people asking what brand of coilovers or shocks or springs to get, pics of new springs/shocks or what their car looks afterwards.

Can someone just explain to me in layman's terms what the difference is in getting coilovers and shocks/springs? Please? And what the pros and cons are of the two?
