they should ask at the dealer if you want the grommets for the valve cover. oh and i would change the gasket...its reusable within 5K miles of replacing. then the heat will make it susceptible to warping and stretching when your remove it.

Did some maintenance on the car tonight, managed to do the engine oil and filter, I also changed the gearbox oil. My girl cleaned out the interior, but its real dirty (the carpet mostly) so I think we are going to hunt down a wet-vac or something.
Hopefully will have time to flush out the old brake and clutch fluid tomorrow!

do you have a helms manual? There is a specific procedure for bleeding out the brake system.

I put 10W30 inthe tranny instead of honda MTF. Honestly the car started shifting like shit!,
MAke sure you buy Honda manual Tranny Fluid for the gearbox!! you'll kick yourself if you dont!

Cars looking fine now, I used 15W50 oil in the tranny (Pennezoil) and 10W30 Valvoline in the engine, the car shifts great, the old oil that came out the tranny was real clean, no metal particles or anything, it smelt a little "old" though.
I flushed out all the brakes yesterday with new DOT3 fluid, I got some bubbles out the front brakes and the rest was just dirty.
When I bled the clutch I couldn't BELIEVE the cr@p that came out of it, it was just black sludge! But now the clutch is much more positive than it was before. I have been detailing the interior, washing and vac the carpets etc its come up great and I am really pleased with it now, best $3700 I ever spent!

One thing I am a little dissapointed with the Integra is the steering, it has too much power assistance for my liking, I really like un assisted "heavy" steering with as much feedback as possible, I am a bit spoiled as I own a Porsche boxster also. I plan on trying the PS removal hack, at first by removing the PS belt, and then if I like it I will remove all the hardware and make a T so the fluid gets re-cycled from side to side in the rack.

Apart from the steering I love the car, I used some premium gas mixed with techron to try and blow some of the cobwebs out of it as the previous owner drove it slow, so I think there is probably some carbon buildup in there, I also just heard that the new Shell gas has an additive to remove carbon etc and that it really works, so I plan on putting a few tanks worth through it and see how it goes.

try some BG44k in a tank and also next time you change the oil get 2 cans of mopar combustion chamber cleaner aka: MCCC about $12 for 2 cans, use half a can normally by spraying through the throttle body with the engine running (get someone to hold the throttle at about 2k rpms so it doesn't die, then shut it down and let the engine cool, set the engine halfway between TDC and BDC so all the pistons are at halfway up, remove the plugs and spray the remaining can and a half into the cylinders, use some rags or paper towels to plug the sparkplug wells and let sit over night, the next morining, suck out the cleaner completely (as much as humanly possible turning the crank by hand helps) you won't believe how much crap comes out of the engine! finally change your oil (the cleaner seeps into the oil and thins it out so that it burns and doesn't work properly )
