One of them new fangled cars.
Hey guys, just bought a 96 integra ls. I'm new to late model sportscars. I've had 2 1rst gen RX 7's and 2 vw rabbits. I'm wondering how effective various mods are for these cars. I'm not really into the whole "scene". I just like to carve back roads. Is there anyway to pick up a little more mid rpm power without a ridiculous amount of money? I'm thinking of installing an intake but I'm concerned about sucking in moisture and iceing up in the winter. I may just install a K&N filter. Are there any exhaust systems on the market that improve power without substantially increasing noise? What about a header with the stock exhaust? Can anyone advise me on a header that will pick up the low end torque of this car? I plan on having this car for a while so I don't want anyting to radical. It's hard for me to imagine this car handling any better but it never hurts to ask. I've noticed in tighter turns the front does push a bit. Is there any way to change that? Thanx in advance!!!
i dont know much about headers but quiet exhaust:
apex'i ws is what i have on my car and if something happens to it, ill buy another apex'i ws....
putting an intake on your car will do nothing for you but make more noise... i personally hate the short ram intake that i have on my car right now (temporary while i wait for a stocker to come around)

Performance: Header for midrange. Stock exhaust OK, 60mm better. Comptech Icebox is nice on the midrange and won't suck up water like a conventional cold air intake.
Handling: You'd be amazed how well these cars can handle. You can upsize the rear sway bar to an ITR bar to eliminate that push. 205 tires. Springs and shocks can make a huge difference if you're willing to toss a bit of money at it.

(being an EX Rabbit GTi owner) Welcome!!.
ya integra's respond Very well to upgrades!. But then again everything you touch will cost you a bit more too. (not that anything breaks on these cars anyways). a cold air intake (or icebox) and a header + cat back exhaust will help free up alot of power. Like anything the sky's the limit, but if you work slowly at it and do one thing at a time it wont feel like your pouring all ur $$ into it. good luck

I like Comptech products myself. A Comptech catback, with a header and rear sway-tie bar would be very nice. It would also be pretty expensive though. I think they even have a high flow converter to. Oh well, you get what you pay for.
I'm currently saving up for the Comptech rear sway-tie and Rota subzeros in bronze.
