Default 94 Integra problems-help

My buddies GSR dies on him one night and it hasent been able to start since. Ive check it and its not getting spark nor fuel. All the injectors have power and pulsing ground and there is fuel presure and the fuel pump does work, but no fuel goes in to the cumbustion chamber. We bought a brand new distributer from HAP and still nothing. i check the main power at the distributor harness and there is 12 v. What the hell should i try next? The car is virtually stock; aem, hyper ground wires, exhaust and short shifter.about 85k miles.

Any help would be appriciated
Thanks

so basically what you are saying is that the injector is not opening, how do you know that you arent recieving gas into the cylinder, did you smell for gas in the cylinder. if not take the spark plug out and do so, if you smell gas then you are getting gas. now spark plug could be anything from missed up ignition to a timing belt. check the timing on it to be sure it is on. if that isnt on then you have skipped a couple of teeth and you need a belt and to reset the timing back to stock, which is i think like 14 degrees after tdc. i may be wrong but i think that is about right. also check to be sure you havent burned up a relay. if these are all good then you need to crumble the car up and throw it away, j/k get help from someone else if these didnt hit anything out of the norm.

Thanks, but i did have the plugs out and visually inspected both plugs and cyll for fuel i even put my eye to the cyl hole so it could burn if fuel was spit. However nothing but air. What relay should i check? does the distributor have any control over the injectors or vise versa other than being tied into the ecu?

Get a nice long flathead screwdriver. Put the metal tip on the body of the injector. Put your ear on the handle. If there's a ticking noise, the injectors are pulsing.

That's exactly what I was going to suggest. It's possible that the fuel filter has simply died. It happened on my GTi, and the symptoms were exactly as you describe with your Teg. Given that the car is now 10 years old, I'd consider replacing it regardless of the filter's physical condition. BTW, how many miles are on this car... is your friend in need of timing belt replacement?

Whatever you do, do not retard the timing to 14 degrees ATDC. especially not on a 10 year old car that probably has over 150,000 miles on it. as far as your fuel prob. check the main fuel relay for continuity with a multimeter. If you get a reading then try changing the fuel filter. if still nothing then check if the wiring to the injectors are installed properly. if that doesn't do anything then you need to change all the injectors. I doubt that is the ECU because those usally don't go bad unless it has been modified, but you never know....
