Default integra gsr problems

my older brother and i share a 94 gsr that or parents let us drive, my dads old car, he got it when it had about 90,000 on it i started driving it with about 103,000. im not srue about the first 90,000 i knwo he was decentlly nice to it but i also know that he occoasianlly guns it. but on to the problems

1. at 3,000 rpm to about 3,400 my exaust gives off a high pitch buzzing noise. we put teh car up on blcoks and reved it to 3,000 to hear where the sound comes from it sounds like ti comes from the a-pipe i think it's called but where the 4-2 header sonfig on stock turns to 2-1 ne help in getting rid would be helpful

2.at high rpms my cars gives off a white smoke around 7,000-8,000 rpm's. the on time i acctaully reved it there and kept it for about 5 sec i was getting so much smoke taht the wind was blowing it up around teh entire car not srue what it may be but is prolly in conjuction to my other problems

3.my car burns oil BAD we lose about 2 quarts eveyr 1,000 miles the oil place fills us up for no charge thats sorta why we go there instead of changing it ourselfs but it's just a nuesance at the moment

4.exaust tip is pitch black the residue wipes off easilly but comes back imeditally i assume it is prolly fuel and is also causing the white smoke or it may be the oil not sure

5. my final problem in march we had to get a immesions testing with or inspection the limit is 136 and we got exactlly 136 so for this year we don't have to do somin about it but next year we will if we get a tune up will it cut my performance if i am running rich? i have been notcing that my car seems faster then it sued to be when my brother first got hold of it, from a 20 punch race my dads wrx only beat me by about a car length to 80 havn;t gotten a chance to race them heads up but the 4wd would kill me then. anyhelp at all is appreciated thanks

extra info that may help average miles to the tank is about 260 with the 11 gallon tank we do drive it aggresivlly but not constanlly and we try to keep it a minumum

1. That's a common occourance with the GS-R exhaust manifold. It's a double-laywered construction to heat up the cat quicker, but with age it falls apart and makes this horrible noise. No way to fix but to replace.

2. leaking head gasket? Could also be water gathering in the cat or muffler, and being blow out as steam at that exhaust velocity. Though, mind you, GS-Rs don't like to be revved about 3K at a stop unless you're preparing for a drag launch.

3. Compression and leakdown check, plus look around the oil pan gasket, oil pump gasket, valve cover gasket, cam and distributor seals. That should help you identify what's leaking, and whether you're leaking or burning

4. Does it wipe clean like soot, or does is smear like oil paint? If it wipes clean like dust, that's normal (But maybe a little rich). If it's got a bit more of a texture to it, it may be oil residue.

5. Couldn't comprehend, or at least to a point where I could give a concise answer.

GS-R engines can be funny with their oil consumption. After replacing my valve cover gasket, oil pump gasket, tightening down the oil pan, and replacing the cam and dist plugs, my car consumes literally no oil (I'm using 5w-30 w/ 136K miles). Maybe like 1/4-1/2 quart over 3K miles, with regular crosses into VTEC. There has been no detectable change in my oil levels in the past 3 weeks actually, and that's with some very spirited driving and a 300 mile haul on the freeway.

I hear of other GS-Rs with perfectly good compressions using 1 quart every 1K miles, too. But, 2Q every 1K miles is a little too much, and it sounds like you may be burning it. IMO do a compression and leakdown test

a pipe CAN be fixed, should be like 40 bucks at a muffler shop for them to remove, re-weld the inner pipe, and replace

I'd say time for a new car. Sell that thing and use the money as a nice down payment on a newer gsr?? But thats just me.

Yes sounds like you have a head gasket problem, which would cause oil to leak as well I believe.
In reference to you headers, get new aftermarkets or goto the dealer, they have a fix it package for that very problem.
