Default Radio Code?

Hey guys, well my negative was loose on my battery and I had to jump start it and as you all know the cd/radio needs a security code to work again.

But I missed placed my manual, and I don’t know the code.

So what can I do? And someone told me that the dealership won’t have it and that they will charge you to replace the entire radio. Is my only option to get a new deck (pioneer, Alpine, etc...)

Check in the glovebox (on the sides, top, back, etc) and the underside of the ashtray (ie, remove it and turn it upside down). A lot of dealers put the spare sticker with the code there.

Otherwise, go to the dealership with the radio's serial number, VIN, proof of ownership, etc and they can get the code for you.

I found the code on my car inside the fuse box that is located at the side of the battery. Open the fuse box cover and look inside it.
