Default How to enter the radio code?

Hi, All:

I just reset my ECU by disconnect the battery and now I need to enter the radio code to make it work. When I turn it on, it prompt for code. I was trying to use the number key to enter them, but there are only 6 (1 through 6), but the code I got have a 8 in there and I have no idea how to enter a 8. Please help!!!!

BTW, I am the original owner of the car and have the code printed on the Honda document - it is not very clear now (it is a '99).

Any input would be appreciated - It is hard to drive without the radio AND CD player

I really think you are looking at the wrong thing. There shouldnt be an eight. If you still cant find the correct radio code, just visit your local dealer and they should be able to provide you with the correct code free of charge. If they charge you, go to another dealer.

you can pull the radio out and give the dealer the serial number and show them ownership of the car etc and they will give you the code.....

Ever hear of a VIN?? They can trace a lot of stuff using the VIN, provided it is the factory radio (it is in this case).

Update:

I went to the dealer and they looked at the VIN and find out the code for me... It was a 5 instead of 8. Now I got my radio back:thumbup:

BTW, I still have the radio code card, so they retrieved the SN# from there - but the code is unreadable with so many scraches on it.

Thanks all!
