Default Compression Test

Has anyone ever had a compression test done on there type R? I plan on running a compression test on the 2000 type R im gonna get and was wondering what were good numbers for all four cylinders. Thanks

All compression test gauges vary a little. All the numbers should be fairly close and you'll probably see numbers around 215-230 or so.

Like Dave Said. If you see #'s in that range it is safe to say that the motor is healthy and should make good figures, and run well.

On my 2001 Type R dealership did the compression check and they said that 190 psi on all 4 cylinder. Is this bad or good. Thanks

It's fine. I've gotten 200 and 225 across all four with different gauges on my car. The biggest worry would be either EXTREMELY low numbers or a major variance between cylinders.
