Default 2000 LS engine into a 92 Teg

How easy is it to fit an LS engine from a 2000 Integra, into a 1992 Integra? Do I need different motor mounts and or axles?

i think it should pretty much bolt in, but you need to convert either the motor down to obd 1, or the car to obd2. preferably to obd 1 since it's easier. i think the mounts you have should work. not sure about axles, but seems like they should work. shift linkage might be a little longer or shorter on one, but not sure.

You need to use the parts from the 92- axles, shift linkage, motor mounts, engine wiring harness,ECU.You will aslo have to convert the engine to obd1, which means you have to change the injectors and the distributor to obd1 (92-95 parts).

Let me see how I can best explain this......Its pretty much the the cars computer system (on board diagnostics) The obd1 system has less sensors than the obd2 system. They use different plugs so thats why I said you would have to use your stock engine harness and change the distributor and injectors on the 00 motor to obd1 parts from a 92-95 integra motor.

just to clarify...

b18a1 (RS, LS, GS) = 90-93 Integras. 90-91 = NO obd, 92-93 = obd1

b18b (RS, LS, LS-S, GS) = 94-01 Integras. 94-95 = obd1, 96-01 = obd2 (I think later models had a revised version of obd2, but don't quote me on that.)

 What did I get confused? You do know that the distributor and injectors are the same right as long as they are both obd1, it doesn't matter if they came of the b18a or the b18b.
