Default Skunk 2 Intake Manifold problems

Hey, I have a 96 GSR and i installed my Skunk 2 intake manifold a few days ago and after having some leaking coolant problems and fixing those i still have the problem of the air temp sensor not reaching to where it is located on the new skunk 2 intake manifold. Also when i drive the car, it sputters and jumps alot when i release the throttle, is this caused by the air temp sensor not being connected? also there is a small spiggot on the back right of the manifold that i can not find a tube for and am wondering if that is normal? i just plugged it but dont know if that need to be attatched some where. If any one has some engine bay pictures of their GSR with the skunk 2 intake manifold on i would greatly appreciate them. Any opinions or advice would be appreciated.

Is it the wires not being long enough?? if so disconnect your battery and let set at least 10 min. then cut the wires one at a time, not sure how many, and solder the addtl. length needed and use heat shrink, all wiring done to sensors and ecu should be soldered crimps just dont cut it, the air temp has to do with the fuel delivery system in conjuction with the map sensor, not sure wha jump means?? why was it leaking coolant, nad gasket somewhere? did you replace that gasket or just add some sealant, as far as the leftover vacuum port, if you dont here any strange vacuum length noise and the car will idle fine(if that is posible at the moment) you should be okay.

I am not sure what the problem is that is causing it to jump, i just know that the only thing that i for sure could not figure out was how to get that sensor to connect. I did have a coolant leak due to using the old gasket which i replaced and fixed the leak. My car idles at about 1k RPM even on a cold start, no more high idling till the engine is warm. If this is normal for idle after modification, i dont know? I do hear a vacuum like noise coming from the engine, but i did also install a new CAI at the same time so i am unaware of if the noise is being caused by this or what? Ill post some pictures tommorow so you can see what it looks like, but as far as i know i have some hoses or lines in the wrong spot? Let me know if this clears up my problem at all.

Did you purchase an ITR throttle bracket for the Skunk2 IM? That may be why you are jumping at idle the cable is too loose to keep the throttle open enough. These are not that expensive and can be bought at your local Acura dealership or online. I know inline4 sells them.

**throttle bracket**, the more i think about this solution the more it makes sense.

Get that part and let us know what changes...I am 99% certain that is a large part of your idle problems and may fix that completely.

Ok, so i put the ITR throttle bracket on, and i got the opposite of the results i was expecting, maybe i didnt do it right but heres what happened. i couldnt get the cable tight at all because the bracket itself is about half the size of the stock one, this resulted in my car idling at about 500rpm's and me having to push the gas almost to the floor to get any throttle feed back. After this i put on this stock one again and fooled around with it for a while and managed to get it pretty tight, only to result in a rough idle going from 1400-1700rpms in a pulsating manner when my foot was off the gas. I should have probably mentioned that i also have an after market throttle body, the edlebrock 65mm. Let me know what you think i should try next.

Here are a couple of links for you on HT...I hope it works out for you.

Also do you have your stock TB? Can you hook that up and get it to work?

check your gasket at the throttle body did you have to cut it yourself and did you reuse that same gasket.
