Is it the wires not being long enough?? if so disconnect your battery and let set at least 10 min. then cut the wires one at a time, not sure how many, and solder the addtl. length needed and use heat shrink, all wiring done to sensors and ecu should be soldered crimps just dont cut it, the air temp has to do with the fuel delivery system in conjuction with the map sensor, not sure wha jump means?? why was it leaking coolant, nad gasket somewhere? did you replace that gasket or just add some sealant, as far as the leftover vacuum port, if you dont here any strange vacuum length noise and the car will idle fine(if that is posible at the moment) you should be okay.
