Default stroke it..or rebuild it

hey all..quick question..my best friend may have blown up his engine..its a B16A3....hes debating on either doing a stroker kit..or to just rebuild it..and put a balanced set up in it...(rods,crank, and pistons)...which would u suggest...stroking it to 1.8L or 2.0L from 1.6L...also..what stroker kits would you suggest..and where can i find them...links would be greatly apprecieated...thanks

Stroker kits :nono:

like EG6 said just pick up a b20 shortblock, do some work to it so it can handle high rpms reliably, and you will have a quick all motor car.

If you could find a no internal b20 shortblock, I'd keep your b16 crank and slap some aftermarket rods and pistons on it. You'll move up to around 1.7L but still be pretty rev happy.

A properly built b20 block....ie forged crankshaft, internals, installed oil squirters and crank girdle, can still be a revver to 9.5k and beyond.
