i just dropped a B18C spec R with 200HP (JDM) in my 97 civic. it drives great. i love it.. the redline is 8600 vtec kicks in at 6000. i paid $4500 and it only has 5000 miles on it. it bought it from Inline Four. They have all engines. their number is 714-903-7898, if you haven't found a place yet. they are in Westminster Ca. The swap comes with everything you need.

bang for buck, you might want to look @ a H22 swap. That would be just as fast as a b18C5, and prolly a little cheaper (for the engine anyway).

the h22 should be faster than the b18c5 due to much more torque, but it is not as easy a swap.

i think the best overall swap in a civic is a b18c....they can be had for as little as $2500, are a straight bolt in, and are considerably faster than a b16a. The disappointing fact of a b16 is the 90-95 ft/lb of torque that is available at the wheels.

B18C1 yeah, but not the B18C5, its overpriced. If you search around you can find B18C complete swaps for as little as $2500 (as said before)

yeah you can find b18c1 for 2500 but there far and few. I would say 3300 is the avg going price. im lookin for a b18c1 and 2900 is the lowest option i have right now. so if you know where i can get one for 2500 let me know.
