YAY! I got my AEM CAI in the mail today... I came home and went next door to my neaghbors house and started *****in about how VISA sucks ass... The chick at the bank told me that they took my money but were still waiting for it to clear... This was for my 120 amp alt... Then my neaghbor says "umm... Dude, UPS came by your house today..." I run in my house and there it is, sitting on the floor with AEM on the side of the box!

Stock D16A6 has 9.5:1 CR. Putting on a Y8 head will bump it to about 10.5:1.

So what would be a "RELIABLE" CR range asuming I resleave the block? 11:1 too much?

Default y8 head on a6 block

the CR will be more than 10.5:1.. the C/r for a z6 head on a a6 block is about 10.5:1 and the combustions chambers on a y8 are smaller than a z6. 11:1 should be reliable.. theres a guy running a 13:1 comp with stock a1 pistons in a y8.. daily driven..
