Default What do you need 4 LS/vtec

I know you need a Vtec head, do I also need to swap the ECU. Will any vtec ecu work or if i got civic TR head i will need that ecu? Am i missing any eles?

I would use a CTR ecu, P72 (GSR) ECU. First off, What car is this going into? Can you buy a GSR Block? What block are you using for your set-up b18a/b or b20? let me know what you have so far so that i can give you the correct information!!

To do a LS Vtec you must also change the block internals," like the crank shaft, Rod, bearing, piston" to GSR or etc. belt and mount... what and where can you get ls vtec conversion kit, would it cost over $1000.

The conversion kit is around $300 from Golden Eagle.

You have to use LS Rods and Crankshaft, thats the whole point of the Ls/vtec!!! GSR Rods are to Long!! You don't have to change the pistons to gsr unless you want more compression! and if your not ever going to boost it i would use Jdm Itr or ctr pistons for compression!
