keep blowing alternator fuse. help

Default keep blowing alternator fuse. help

i keep on blowing an alternator fuse.. already had the alternator tested and it pass. i'm guessing i have short somewhere on the wireharness??? any idea on were i should look?? thanks in advance.

What kind of car is this?

I would recommend looking at a service manual and tracing the wires from the alternator back to the fuse and checking for shorts.

it's a 98 honda civic lx with a b18c1 motor.

i found an open wire, but it doesn't connect to the alternator.. can anywire be the cause to this problem?? see attachment of photo..

YUP! that wire was the cause to me blowing an alternator fuse.. i grab an extra wire, ground it to the car then touch the open black and yellow wire.

Was that plug for the light
I’m having that same issue
