Default keep blowing batter fuse

my roommate has a 97 DX D16Y7 civic that we just replaced the alternator on. Now that we replaced the battery cables we dont have any juice at all and I have blown two 80A Battery fuses. No idea whats going on here. HELP!

I'll keep looking but cant see a short anywhere... oh well... tis an electrical gremlin in here somewhere.

well if the battery cables are on while u changed the alternator or course your going to blow that fuse.... just make sure the ground on the alternator isn't getting touched by metal
