Default shopping for a turbo for my b18b?

I've been told to go with a T4 but I have seen many different turbos on ebay that are T3, T3/T4, or T4. My question is what turbo is best for my motor? I am building my LS for both 1/4 mile and somewhat of an everyday driver.

Im new to this and Im doing all the work myself so if you have any advice that would be appreciated too.

The real qustion when choosing a turbo is not which engine, but what power range and response you want. Peep this, a T3 super 60 would prolly do well for a nice daily turbo. It'll have good power range and little to no lag. However you won't make super high HP numbers.

Or you could go with a mid sized t3/t4. You'll have to do some research on what you want. A nice broad power band, or a top-end screamer. A t3/t04b would prolly be a well rounded turbo for you also. It'll have a bit more lag than a super60, but it makes good power.

You could opt for a .48 A/R exhaust housing to decrease your spool time, however this will pull down how well the turbo flows and consequently how much power it will make........There always a trade off --- spool time or power --

thanks!

Im still really trying to learn as much as I can before I buy because there is so many options..

·what size FMU do I need?
·do a buy a turbo w/ a built in wastegate or an external wastegate?
·do I need a fuel rail? If so, which one/size?
·what bov is the loudest?

*I am looking for road use turbo car but I do want BIG power. After changing the rods and pistons I would like to be around 225-250hp.
