Default 94 b18b swap into a 94 civic ex question..

I am going to do a 94 b18b swap into my 94 civic ex.. I have the full integra which the rear end was totaled. My question is am I going to have to buy any addition parts and are there any tips or tricks you guys can give me before I do the swap?

thanks.

I just put a 98 b18c1 into a 94 Civic CX. I had a full Integra in which the front end was totalled.

Everything's there that you need. Make sure and keep all the Integra coolant hoses, you'll need them. Put all nuts & bolts into plastic baggies as you take them out, and label them with stuff like "Engine Mounts", "Suspension", etc. (I didn't do this part )

You might want to change the water pump & timing belt while the b18b is out of the car. It is RIDICULOUSLY easy to do once you have the crank bolt off. (Take the bolt off while the engine is in the integra. Pulling it off while it is on a pallet is not fun.

You'll need the AC mount from a DOHC VTEC Del Sol.. the teg one will work on the motor and the car, but not with the AC compressor. Everything else should be there.

Also, the teg PS pump won't work with your car unless you swap out the teg PS hose that bolts to the top of the pump. You can use the civic one (not sure the CX has PS) but only the top bolt will hold on and the adjustment screw won't be able to be used. FYI

CX has no PS or AC, so that's the parts of the swap I didn't have to deal with.

2 of the 4 bolts will line up if you use the TEG A/C bracket. depends how lucky you are feeling if you wanna go this way. The integra PS pump will work with the civic PS rack, it depends on which pump you got, there are 2 different B-series pumps.

Default What's up?

Everything should be there. A few hints, budget yourself some time for things to go wrong. Aside from that, do a timing belt and water pump with the motor out, new hoses, belts and a new clutch isn't a bad idea either. You need a 32mm socket to get the axle nuts off and some patience. The shift linkage pin is also a pain. When removing or lowering the engine, put it on the hoist with the tranny side haning down (think / but not as steep). This will allow you to lift the engine above the fender than slide it over for the tranny to clear the frame rail. Aside from that, take your time and have fun. Seeya.
