not at 12:1 compression
higher comp ratios are just another way of squeezing more air into the cylinder, it's like having permanent boost

which head is better to PNP, the c5 or c1, i hear the c1 is basically just a b16 head so i'm thinking that the c5 would be a wiser (more expensive) desision

no cause to use that compression you will need an agressive cam and that will cause your powerband to be from say 7k to 10k or so. also to run a all motor header to use that powerband you are still goin to have to hack up the core support. good luck dude but I wouldn't go over 12:1 on nothing less than 93 octane and very conservative timing and fuel tune. on race gas setup a more aggressive tune but don't expect to make more than 210whp or so on pump gas and that is tops. that should be good for high to mid 12's if you are keeping this car streetable. most of the fast street cars are actually trailored all the time. to hit 11's to have to strip it to nothing and plan on a trailor.

well i guess that the stroke on a b18c isnt as long as i thought it was and i wouldnt get the results i was looking for with a 84 mm bore.

i think i'm just going to build the engine and put it into a hatch and do an ls/turbo setup.

is a b20 just an already overbored ls? or is the head design differnt (i know they have the same stroke)

My car seems to like the turbo. Good luck having a streetable N/A motor pumping out as much power as a basic turbo kit. Unless you have a trust fund or you shit out money, I would go turbo.

if you stroke it you will have some insane piston speed. the RS ratio would be a mess
