Cam Timing
Hey,
A buddy of mine has a B16A with ITR Cams, Intake Manifold, and JDM 4-1. He read somewhere that if he advanced the intake a tooth (like 10 degrees) and retarded the exhaust a tooth as well, he'd notice a difference. I said it'd should work in thoery, but that 10 degrees was a huge step. Anyone have any experience with this?
On another note, does anyone know how to properly get a P73 Intake manifold on to a B16A1. The car just hunts once it warms up because it has no idle air control. I know its been done, but nobody seems to know how? Is he loosing anypower with the car hunting like that?

10 degrees is way too much. The only way cams should be moved is with adjustable gears, and even then setting the cams 20 degrees apart, I don't think that would run too well. Cams should be tuned on a dyno, because every car is different.
