Default vacuum/idle situation on ls swap

I have a obd0 ls motor in my 91 civic si hatch. It's in and starts, but it runs weird. The idle bounces in rpm like a constant steady bounce up and down. I get a code 14, which is eacv. How do i fix this. I pulled the eacv off to check it out and it didn't appear to be clogged or anything like that. Someone please help, this is all that's holding me back from getting my new swapped hatch on the streets.

take off your iacv or eacv or whatever the hell you want to call it, and spray the shit out of it with some good ole carb cleaner, making sure to clean the screen very very well. if this does not work, then it means you have a bad iacv, or you have plugged in the wrong plug to the iacv.

with the car running and idling weird. removed the connector from the IACV. If the the idle levels off, you have found your problem. Remove the IACV and clean it as stated above.

You can also replace the IACV. From honda it's not the cheapest thing, but you can find used ones on the web easily.

sweet, my e-mail is bubbiemellum@yahoo.com. Let me know if you can send it. I will pay shipping of course. also, i have tried unplugging the wires to it while it's running, it makes no difference.

then i don't think it's the IACV. look at the throttle adjustment, and try to locate leaks in the vacuum lines. i would almost just start replacing lines and keep going.

alright, i took the eacv off of the intake manifold and started the car, it definetely runs weird with it off. I don't know if this means anything. also will someone explain what the eacv does? I thought i had an idea, but i didn't know that coolant went through it, now i'm way confused on what this even does.

I would prob. take a look at the fast idle valve over the IACV if you unplugged it, and it made no difference.
