Assulting your oil pan
so the problem is that my header DP touches the oil pan. i have a couple of options here...
1- spend the $50 and have the header modified (cut and weld in a spacer)
2- i can beat the crap out of my oil pan. i figure a couple good swift hits with a hammer and a block of wood will do well. i just need to indent a 2" wide section about 1/4 - 1/2 inch in, right on the corner.
any suggestions on beating the oil pan, or is that just plain bad? ive been hearing both ways.

denting the pan would not change the volume, but would possibly push the oil level up, which could cause the level to be high enough to touch the crankshaft, which in turn could foam up the oil and cause cavitation, which could cause the vtec pressure switch to see less oil pressure..but that's a long shot..
