Anyone ever replace or know someone who replaced their oil pan on 6th gen accord?

I need to replace mine as the drain plug hole was stripped 1year ago, and they re-threaded it with a bigger plug, and now they are saying its worn out because the pan is made out of soft aluminimum or whatever (i've had roughly 50 oil changes on the car).

I was hoping to know what was involved, and/or how much labor was charged to do so. It looks like the part itself is around 150dollars.

i got quoted 120$ labor from independent honda shop, i'm gonna go with that. i'm also gonna do it during my 30k service, so i dont have to pay twice for oil

 

just realized i should replace my oilpan gaskets also. anything else to look for or possibly replace while oil pan is off?

 

Oil pump, but that should be fine since your car is so new. In an older car or if you dented the pan that would be a smart idea.

 

youve had 50 oil changes in 30k miles ???

 

30k service is what im getting, my odomoter is at 150k (30k service *5=150k)

50 oil changes * 3k mile intervals = 150k..


oil pump? where is that located? is that something i should get replaced and is inside the oil pan?
