Default B18B build-up

I am planning to rebuilt my b18b in the summer. I desided to go with aftermarket pistons, connecting rods, rings, and bearings. What i need help is with desiding the compression Ratio i should run(turbo is the future), and what company(name the product it self) to use. I was looking at Eagle because i have used them in V8's and found them tuff.

Also, what can break in these engines under high boost.

THANKS FOR ANY REPLIES!

For turbo, you're looking at anywhere from 8.5:1 to 9.5:1. Personally, I'd stay at 9.0:1 or higher.

Brandwise, J&E, Arias, Wiseco, etc. Only complaint I've heard about J&E is a bit of noise. Others I'm not very familiar with.

Eagle rods are good, but if you're going to be running a lot of boost the Crower I-beams are tougher. Just depends on how much power you want to make.

Default build up

Hey, From my recent experience I wouldnt forget the head. I've heard and been told that there is power to be gained. I recently just put on a Fully built head by crower, ported by portflow and soon to be tuned by a local shop. I cant wait to see the final results. Good luck with your build up!

Everything and anything.

Bottom-end I run an Eagle rods/Wiseco pistons setup and i'm very happy with mine. I'd say stay in the 9:1 Compression ratio range just to make good power even low amounts of boost. As far as the heads goes....I would swap in some mild~moderate N/A cams(LS cams are horrid, anything is an improvement), some stiff springs/retainers, and give it a nice port match job. Call it a day.
