Default B Series head swaps compression change?

I heard if you change heads on b series motors like b18c block with b16 head makes different compression than b18c block with b18c head. is this true. if so whats the estimated compression on a b20b block with b16a head?

B16 head on the B20 block is actually the preferred setup for the CRVTEC changeover and isquite common because of the raise in compression level. As for how high it puts your compression I am not entirely sure but I believe it puts it at 10:1....I may be wrong on this but I seem to remember this being the number it came up with.

Whoa so if i get arias 10:1 compression that would push my compression to 11:1. thats noo good. cause im supercharged so i would only be able to boost like 5 pounds tops, right?

Well I would double check because I may be wrong on that number.....I know it was somewhere around there but very well may be 9.5:1

I wish I could get ahold of a friend of mine because he has all these numbers set to memory.

assuming everything's stock, a b16 head on a b20b block will come out to around 9:1 cr. http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/c...c/compcalc.php

Actually you were almost right on

Using that website
http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/c...c/compcalc.php

change the head to B20, and then change the pistons to B20

Compression Ratio for B20b/B16 head is 9.3:1 and for B20z/B16 head is 10.2:1
