Default head gasket - change it myself or get it done?

I was just wondering roughly the difficulty of changing the head gasket. I noticed oil leaking from the gasket the other day and would like to fix this problem. I'm just trying to figure out if i want to do it or get it done. Has anyone ever gotten it done before on a 94 dx? I'm wondering about what it costs to get it done. I think that I know how to do it, but want to see what's more worth it - saving a few bucks or getting it done depending on how long it takes?.....thanks a lot.

It all dependson your experience and tools you have. If you have done lots of this sorta work then it would be best just to buy a service manual and do it yourself.

If i was u get some APR head bolts b/c hte can be torqued more than once the stockers can only be used once. They are 10 bucks each and u need 10 of them. Spend the money on the APR, and the 15 or so bucks on a service manual.

If I was to get the gasket changed somewhere, would they use new bolts when putting the valve cover back on and charge me, or would they just use the stock ones? It may sound cheap, but I'm trying to do it as cheaply as possible because I'm debating even keeping it. Thanks for your advice though.

You will save a shit load of money if you do it yourself. The difficulty depends on how mechanically inclined you are.
