Default b18c1 re-build questions

Is it nessicary, or worth it to get a JDM gsr engine? if im going to build it up?
would it be the best deal to try and find a usdm integra gsr with like a lot of miles on it since im changing out the internals anyhow? like are there any problems with the block after 100K miles that would get in the way of a rebuild? thanks.

imo it'd be a waste to spend the extra for a jdm gsr engine only to rebuild it

:werd: if there isn't any catastrophic damage, it makes no difference on a full rebuild. Just get whatevers cheapest.

exactly. cracked sleeves, rod thrown through the side of the block (i've seen that one, pretty ugly :nervous: ), warped beyond milling etc...

If its got a thrown bearing or something, it doesn't matter because you'll be replacing all that stuff when you rebuild.
