when is it time for a rebuild
hi i have a 98 honda civic lx with about 100k miles, and i wanted to know when is it time to rebuild. we dont have enouf money to get a new car now or in any close time in the future, so when do you know you need to rebuild your engine.
depends on how the engine runs and performs
i ran my 150k mile prelude burning over 1 quart of oil a week for 3 months before i finally spun a rod bearing on ole lucky #2.
i really spun the bearing because the guy put 87 octane in it at the gas station, and i had a MIL code for a broken knock sensor at the time
so i get super jackass points for not paying attention :goodjob:
if it doesnt burn/consume oil then i wouldnt worry.
just change the fluids and be smart about it...cause if you arent you will pay for it.
