More torque equals less HP, more HP equals less torque...even though torque is essential for HP...
My friends stock 99 F-150 runs a 15.6 in the 1/4...but the new ones..with boosted torque run in the 16's...
FWD are better from a rolling start, so from a dead stop, as stated in another topic, the weight distribution causes FWD imports to not launch so well.

true and not so true
hp just equals torque X rpm all divided by 5252
relative of course to the engine

I figured since you see the torque 1-4 rpm... you'd lean more towards the power after 4,000rpm since everything in the high RPM's is 2/3 of a race...not to say torque isn't important cause i know it definatly is.
are their things with the transmission that can be modified to produce more power and torque. has anyone done any tranny work to their car what did you do? what was the outcome? was it worth the effort?
