I got the H22 in my civic and she still scoots with a passanger... now throw a third body in the back seat and that's another story... she'll still scoot but just not the same

i know how you feel
that's why i'm saving for the Greddy Turbo Kit + intercooler
and oil cooler
should pull my torque to like 210+
how fast is your civic running with that setup
my friend's got a 95 shitty brown hatch with an h22 swap and dc header and he just eats me alive
damn power to weight

haha

To be honest, I have never done a dyno and I have not been to the track yet to get any times. I've only been driving this setup for a couple months now and just finally got my suspension under control so I'm hoping to get to the track soon and get some 1/4 mile times.

All I know is that I have fun pounding people when they try to test what they think is an ordinary civic.:naughty:

Having been on both sides with a 93 Mustang GT and 93 Mustang Cobra previously and my 92 GSR I can say that the reason most people don't do as well in Imports is the powerband. While my Mustangs both redlined at 6,000, if i shifted them at 5,000 it didnt really make much difference, they had very wide powerbands. My Integra may redline at 8,000, but if i shift at 7000 it probably loses at least a second in the 1/4. For example, at the track my normal trap speeds are 89.7-90.1 in the Integra. One time I accidently shifted early at 7700-7800 not paying attention and that run my speed was only 88.7.

what are some of the best mods to raise torque significantly? im talking small mods not turbo thats a given. why are imports so lacking in torque? my friends mustang GT has only about 200 hp but over 300ftlbs of torque why is it that in imports that the torque number is so much lower than the hp number. i even know this guy really hes a friend of a friend that has a turbo B16 in a 92 civic hatchback that puts out like 500 hp and only like 300 something in torque thats alot but still doesnt keep with the hp# heres the dyno charts.

torque is all about displacement.
the best way to get more toque is torque in a bottle...nitrous!

Or in a 2.0 Liter H-series in a light as Civic... I can literally lurch and jump forward when I rip through every gear even with passengers :fawk:

thats still not a lot of torque...140-150 ft/lbs is only a lot relative to the weight of the car. it does make up for a lot though!
