What did you guys use to reattach the reupholstered part back on the panel (I'm assuming you guys broke off the plastic rivets that held it in)?

when i did mine, i used a razorblade to scrape off just the top of the plastic "rivets". then i took a thread tap and tapped the plastic rivet studs and then used regular bolts (super short ones) and washers where need be and bolted the panels back togteher

I bought actual vinyl from Joann's fabrics and used it for the interior of my del sol. It came out great. Everyone thinks it was professionally done until they ask how much it costs and I tell them about 40 bucks. Even my dad was impressed when he stopped by after paying 1600 for a complete reinterior of his corvette. I might even revinyl one of his friend's corvette door panels.

I use 3m vinyl adhesive. It works great and not a bit has come up in cold or hot weather. I would only use the hot glue gun for the tucked edges, otherwise it might leave a bumpy/unsmooth surface.

I'll try to take a pic soon so you can tell me what you think. If you like it, I can explain how I did it.

Also, depending on what material you are using. Hot air is your friend, trust me on this one. I used a normal hair dryer and was able to mold the vinyl without rips or seams.
