Default need help code 9

i was at the strip an had some bad wheel hope after that my check Eng light came on i wasn't able to ind any probs and then later in the day the car started to stuter at 2225 RPM in any gear. This mornin its stuttering at 3000 RPM and not at 2250 RPM ??? i checked the comeputer and its a CODE 9 now what is that mean

this is for a all stock 89 CRX si

everything in the dash is working fine car idels at about 600 RPM no can't see anything wrong no leaks no smoke ??

a code 9 is the crank angle sensor...#1 cylinder position

does your car run worse now?...it means your timing belt could have jumped some teeth on the cam gear and you may need to redo the timing...set all to top dead center

My old 90 Si hb pulled a code 9...it wound up being a bad connection inside the distributor. Pull the cap off and look at all the connections cause if I remember correctly the sensor is "in" the distributor. That's the 1st thing I'd check.

cool that sounds like a good place to start. the car has been ok now and the but sometimes the porb comes back up ??? its always at a different RPM to ??.
