How would i get sealant primer or anything in there i can barely fit a rag inside that area, you are talking about the part of the quarterpanel that is furthest rear where the water kinda collects? there is that metal barrier that gets in the way and my hand can fit in it by itself. is that removable?

is it possible for water to come up and over the interior [on the inside] while driving in the rain. it seems the water is coming out from under the interior panels in the trunk and its a spray pattern. the first time i took the panels off there was condensation or what i thought might be condensation, it could have been sprayed up water. Is it possible for water to come up from under the car like that, the water doesnt leak close to the hatch its more like all over along the edges along the bottom of the panels. i just want a dry car :screwy:

do you have a water spayer for the rear? it can leak from there. it's also one of the trouble spots. i just completely removed mine. and yes it can come from uderneath. the gas tank area is prone to rust for EF's in general. man i wish i had pictures of my EF before and after pictures. just getting my car resprayed after about 300 hours of body work. hey i paid $100 for a clear titles 91 si, so i feel i came out on top. just the rust... WAS BAD!

check your hatch area for cracks and rust spots. if you have an SI check you sunroof drain tubes. check your hatch weather-seal area for rust/cracks. make sure your hatch is aligned properly. check the roof area(where hatch is bolted to) for cracks/rust. those are the most troublesome spots in the rear.

yeah the if you have a sunroof and you dont know if its been cleaned ever might as well. i cleaned mine and there was slimy crud inside the little one way valve. if you dont want it to clog again then you can pull off the little tabs on it.

ok now i am really stumped sealing the tail lights work wonders and no water was in the trunk during plenty of rain in the past few days then after the rain ceased i was driving down the road and heard the sound of water dribbling while i was driving, sure enough there was puddles of water and it seems like the water is coming from under all of the interior panels at once not just from one area like the tail lights. i dont think its the hatch seal because it wont leak if i pour water on the back but only once in a while. any ideas would be helpful.
