I had a Viper 500ESP alarm on it, car got stolen in like 30-45 seconds:angry:
I got my car back that evening but of course it was stripped, the only accessories they didn't take was my suspension(Tokico blues and H&R Race springs) Anyways, after getting her back and seeing how easy it was for them to hotwire it, I started looking into alarms and talked to alot of people, installers, people w/Cliffords, and just did alot of homework on how alarms work. Too bad I found out all this after I lost my car
I know there are alot of chrome haters on here, but I think my car was one of the cleanest 4th gens out there, nice color, perfect drop, not rice at all, sweet system, and just clean!!! Hopefully my 94Uhkord will be there one day, and when it does get there, it'll have an Autolock and Clifford Concept 600 to protect it

) But if security is your main concern, it's Clifford and Clifford only.

Damn, how much is just the equipment on average? I saw one post that has the AG4 for $467... is that about right for equipment and then pro instalation is just that much? Or is that a steal for AG4 at $467?

Nope, I will never suggest another alarm, unless you want one for its cool features(like lcd display 2 way remote, remote starter, or talking siren

Now you mention that a "cool feature" would be a remote starter. For me, here in single digit weather northern pennsylvania... where my headlights don't shine 5 feet because of the thick layer of ice all over my car... a remote starter would really really really be nice for those below zero mornings. Is there an option to get a remote starter and have a nice clifford? Like possibly seperate units?
I know Sam's club, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Circut City... they all sell remote starters for like $30-60. Can that be used, along with a clifford... and here's the big one... can it all be on the same remote?

I wouldn't want my keychain being weighted down with 2 diffrent remotes and then the regular keys. Or is remote starter an option you can get on a clifford. (look back to where I said about the little bit of info...not a lot as you can see)

Ok. So you've got a good backing in Clifford. You like them and they seem to suit your needs. From what I can tell and the little bit of info I've lookedup and read about them, they do seem quite nice.

h: I just wish I knew then what I know now:wtc: As for the remote starter, Clifford offers the stand alone unit called the OmniStart, it has keyless entry and a built in starter interrupt as well. Or you can add it on to any of the G4 line of Clifford alarms.
Im not familiar w/the remote starter units at the stores you listed so I dont know if they're compatible w/clifford or can be used via 1 remote. But I doubt it.
If you already have an alarm, see if it has an auxillary input, if so, you might be able to get an add on from the manufacturer of your alarm, if they offer it. Just know that if you have a manual tranny in your car, most places won't install the remote start feature, unless it's a clifford intellistart unit(like the omnistart or optional remote start units on the g4 line of alarms) which has a sensor built in that detects if the car is in gear or not, if it is, it won't start the car
That's for all the idiots who left their car in gear and started via remote start and cause some slight problems.
if anyone on here needs a Clifford Alarm, i can get some through my work. i can get only the Intelliguard series (6000, 7000, 8000) and the Avant Guard 4. My company is an authorized dealer, so the warranty should apply. Email me at: oochink4saleoo@aol.com if interested
