I don't even need to read what everyone was saying here to answer it. My last car had the "badboy" alpine SEC8061 alarm. Retailed for $400 without install. My car was stolen and the alarm was bipassed extremely easily. Should be having an expert looking at it soon. My roommate has the exact same alarm and it's the biggest POS I've ever seen. I'm going Clifford on my next car. But then again, alarms are worthless. No one listens to them anymore. They can go off for hours and no one will ever go look unless YOU recognize it being your car. Lo-Jack is a must!!!

why would lojack be a must? lets be real here, especially on our hondas, 9 times out of 10 they are stolen for parts, not for joyrides. That being said, why get a lojack when these guys are just gonna stip ur car and leave it somewhere? Lojack isn't cheap an if you were to put that money w/the money you spent for a decent alarm, you could get the AG4 which would prevent anybody from bypassing it(without investing a couple hours of time), they'd have to tow it. Lojack doesn't prevent ur car from being found, I think its only good if you notice right away that ur car is gone, but if it gets stolen in the middle of the night, and you don't notice it until the morning, forget about it.

Alright, that's a good budget to work with. That's what im gonna spend the the Clifford Concept 600, it has many of the features the AG4 has, and is a very competent alarm system givin it's installed right. That has alot to do with it, the siren has to be hidden, same for the brain, and the wiring should look like it's stock and not stand out like a sore thumb, all of these things contribute to the alarms effectiveness. I am paying $650 installed for this alarm, I'm also gonna add a 130db siren in the interior as well as a battery back up:thumbup:
