Alpine CDA-7995 vs Pioneer DEH-P8400MP.
which one of these decks has a greater sound quality and over-all better performance? and can one of you audio heads please give me some pros and cons of both? thanks.
also what do you think of the Kicker solobarics (square subs)?

 

Plain and simple, I love my Alpine. :thumbup:

 

first off the alpine has no internal amp, so you will have to provide one. im pretty sure you were aware of this.

the pioneer has an organic display, where as the alpine has a 3 color dot matrix like display.

the alpine has a slightly higher FM sensativity, 9.3 vs. 9

alpine also has a higher SN ratio, 105 vs. 94 dB

the alpine also has a lower retail price.

i wish i had to make the decision of adding one of these two to my car. personally i like pioneer but not that model.

definatly. L7s are kick ass subs. i have a 12 in my acura.

 

i have a kenwood kdc-mpv7019 and i love it.


i'll take anything over pioneer any day. i had a pioneer back in the day and it lasted just long enough to be out of warranty before it died. radio stopped working, then a couple days later the cd player quit. about the only stuff made by pioneer i'd buy would be their home theatre stuff. that stuff has awesome quality. but as far as their car audio, let's face it. pioneer is a wal mart brand.

 

and sears brand My g/f has that same Kenwood h/u you do. it is pretty decent plays mp3's and stuff. i have to make an mp3 cd now.

 

got mine off ebay for a lot cheaper than sears or best buy sells them for. i think the dude i bought it from was working out of a warehouse if you know what i mean.
