Same stereo & speakers in new car don't sound the same
I recently totaled my 96 Honda Accord LX...
so I bought a 98 Honda Accord EX as a replacement.
I took my aftermarket stereo (Kenwood) and speakers (also kenwood) from the old Accord to the newer one.
Strange thing, though - the setup in my 98 Accord now has MUCH weaker bass than before, even though it's the same speakers and head unit I had in my old Accord.
Any thoughts?
Is there maybe a bass blocker for the stock tweeters in the 98 EX causing this? My 96 LX did not have tweeters, and I did not disconnect them in my new setup. Thanks for any advice you can throw my way!

tweeters are only suppose to play frequencies off 100 + (if tuned). it could be that the accord you have is a bose system. If you have a bose system, the speakers sit at every speaker ( hidden unit). and when using factory wiring to the bose amp to speakers, the power is reduced dramatically. if the system is actaully bose, i suggest you run 12 - 16 gauge from the deck back to each speaker. if you dont have as much bass, assuming there are 4 speakers and 2 tweeters you have 6 speakers total. i beleive the fronts are wired parallell ( each is 8 ohm svc) to get 4ohm and the rears are 4-8ohms each. the lower the ohms, the more power, but dont exceed the maximum on the deck which is usually 2 ohms.
No Bose sound in this car - it was all factory stock deck and speakers when I got it. The settings are the same on the new-to-this-car head unit (I triple checked those)... I will double check the wiring polarity on tonight when I get home... Thanks for the suggestions
