Default Wireless In-Car Camera Security

Just curious as to how I would go about installing security cameras in my integra.

My intentions:
1) Wireless and can be watched from my laptop with a decent distance range (~2-3 block distance)
2) Would like 2, one facing driver window and one facing passenger side.
3) Can run off the car's battery (while car's off) and cause very little to almost no drainage. (i.e. can go a week and still have enough juice to start the car if I wanted too) or possible running on batteries?
4) Can be manually shut off (switch?)
5) Video can be seen during the day and night.

Probably leaving stuff out but that's basically it but I hope you know where i'm going with this. I don't have a garage/driveway and I park on the street and not in a good neighborhood. Besides the autolock and viper alarm im installing I would like to do this if possible.

If anyone ever tried this or know of someone who has, that would be helpful.....thanks.

I really don't think it's ever been done.

Hmm, I'm going to look online and see what kinda cameras I can find that'll work with this kinda set up and do what I want them to do.

If I get it to work i'll do a write up. Hopefully I'll have this set up in a month or two.

My only worry would be that any type of video system will draw a fair amount of current. Optima Yellow Top maybe??

Yea was thinking that, definately going to calculate how much current the system would use and for how long the system could run without getting to the point of the car not being able to start.

Just got an idea.....I can buy a 12V 1800mAh Li Battery Pack/Rechargeable and connect that to a CCTV camera. That'll definately be enough power for camera video at night. Connect the receiver of the camera to my laptop via USB, etc..... then just recharge the battery the next day and that's pretty much it. I can buy 2 batteries so i'll always have one fully charged.

Now just need to calculate which CCTV camera to get that'll match up good with the rechargeable battery so it'll last ~8-10 hrs.

Being parked infront of my house, with the autolock, viper system/2-way pager and me monitoring the car while i'm in my room it probably will have a higher % of preventative theft. Just stating "full coverage" doesn't make your car safe from thieves.

I'd say my chances are higher with it than without it. I'm not going to rely on "full coverage" to keep my car safe. If I want it safe then i'm going to have to do my best to keep it safe. Just because I "full coverage" doesn't mean I wouldn't care if my car gets stolen. I wouldn't want the insurance's money in trade for my car. I'd rather keep it, and furthermore not everyone can afford "full coverage" h:
