Yes, another noobie thread.
Prices may be better on the internet but beware some places do not have the items in stock and take time to get them. Some will just keep stringing you along until they get it. Also the manufacturer may not honor warrenty work if the unit was bought from an unauthorized place. Something to keep in mind.

Get an Alpine 9856--$220total (includes remote)(taxes included)
RF Punch or Alpine type S front and rears ~$90-$100 a pair total(taxes included)
So HU, front and rear speakers= ~420
you can also get a Alpine 4ch MRP-F250 or 200 to push the interior speakers for ~$200+tax
So, HU, interior speakers and amp ~650

Just be cautious, try and finalize the deal on the phone. If your getting an item new in box, I don't see any reason the manufacture could deny you a warranty. I've bought almost everything for my car online, and have yet to have a problem. To each their own I guess...
I have also bought equipment online without a problem but if i do buy unauthorized I make sure I am prepared to eat the loss if something happens. Just letting people know buying online isnt always what it seems. You have to weight the options and decide for yourself.
Do not buy any pioneer products off of etronics. I have had problems down the line with there radios and so have members off of ht. I am a pioneer dealer and the product that they sell is b stock. Look E-tronics tells you the same thing

And when you send in that unit for repairs and pioneer runs the serial number your screwed. You will get a hell of a bill or they will flatly tell you they will not fix it send it somewere else. I tryied to send in a members radio from ht and they would not fix his indash. After talking to the repair man and some future promise. He got his unit fixed. But he had to pay 280 in parts that would of been free if he would of bought it from a dealer. Hell they are being sued by mtx.
97teg are you on ht? your screen name seems familer. But anyways The headunit you are looking at is a great radio. And it has three outputs. So you can expand on it. If I was you I would get some componets. And make sure the speakers is installed correctly. If not they will sound like garbage no matter how much they cost.

speakers come in pairs, so you will only need one pair.
so figuring you would then have 200 (ish), you can certainly find a nice 4 channel amp and run the fronts for the time (channels 1/2), and come in with a subwoofer (bridged to channels 3/4) when you can afford one.
edit: btw, i love those Polk 6.5's. got a pair a while back and they rock
