It doesn’t matter if it was new or not. Some manufactures are very strict about where their equipment comes from and some are not. For the ones that are, they will deny any warranty regardless. Also there are some instances of fake equipment being sold or serial numbers being scratched off to prevent detection of where the product originated from. In this case almost every manufacturer will deny you warranty.

I have also bought equipment online without a problem but if i do buy unauthorized I make sure I am prepared to eat the loss if something happens. Just letting people know buying online isnt always what it seems. You have to weight the options and decide for yourself.
