Default two 12" why not?

i've been doing quite a lot researches on subs. I noticed that not many ppl have two 12" subs; instead, two 10"s or one 12" are more popular. so i am wondering why is that. anyone knows?

I wouldn't mind getting another sub, if i had room for it. every1 has seen my trunk, sdns don't have much trunk space so i'd rather keep the space my 1 12 is running close to 400 watts rms. and i'm happy. shakes the car quite nice. 1 more would shake it more....

i supposed you had a 2ch amp for the 12, correct?

the reasons why i like dual subs more than single are that two look better and can play louder than one. some ppl say two 12
might overkill the bass, but don't some decks have subwoofer volume control?

no, i have a 4ch amp running the sub and front components. i have nothing in the rear.

IF i do get another sub, i will get another amp for it and put my 6x9s back in.

i wouldnt get a deck with a preout for the sub.

2 10's are louder than 1 12 but the 1 12 put out deeper bass notes than the 2 10's. I have 2 10's, 2 12's would be too much for me.

Damn thats alot of numbers.
