Autobahn Driven Accord / Needs Brakes
for the last 20 replies above mine... he has a 98 accord, 6th gen?
that would make the 5th gen V6 swap the wrong application.
a 6th gen (in US 98+) V6 has 5 lugs, you would need new wheels if you were to use just those rotors. In the US, 98-99 Acura CL 3.0's had 11" rotors that were 4 lugs that would work on a 98 4 cylinder accord... but you need a bigger caliper w/ it.
the stock accord 10" rotors used a smaller caliper than any 11" rotor equipped one.
stopping is a lot tires, maybe the tires are hindering your stopping? but there really is no point to buy just new tires unless you think they will up the selling price of the car later.
are your current rotors at the service limit (think 21mm)? if not you can probably stick w/ them and have new pads + fluid put on.

Hey GI,
Why buy a Honda when serving in Germany? Get a BMW! Then you can run w/the big dogs on the 'Bahn.
Thank you for protecting us civilians, keep up the good work.

Yeah I know. I served 6 years stationed in Heidelberg. That's why I was wondering about you wanting a Honda Pilot when the Beemers are CHEAP. I picked up a loaded new 325 for a little more than a new accord.
I don't doubt your Accord does good, I had an '88 Integra, '92 Integra, '01 Altima, and then the BMW while I was there. None of them except the BMW were fun to run at 120 mph.
