Your dealer (OR you if you installed it) should have installed the heavy duty springs. They are black, look in your trunk. If they are grey...take it back.

My car has been great for the most part. I have 7,500mi on it.
I still get 34.6mpg on the highway, can go over 500miles on a tank.

Problems:
Rippled modlings, sunglasses holder stuck.

I have not had any of the other things some people complain about: long cranks, rotten egg smell, headliner creak.

Love the car.

Well got my satin silver 03 accord 4 door in april and i have 3600 miles on it already and i drove to florida and the car drove like a champ havent had any problems just a cracked windsheild that i had to replace added some mudflap becuse the tar was getting on my bottom of the bumper and door so took care of that problem but the **only thing that just bothers me is a tick -tick-tick sound when the windows are rolled up and some people have said thats its just me bugging out but i would think that a new car would not make any sounds but will be taken it to the dealer to get it check out i have a 97 civic that make that sound but its because the lifter need to be adjusted but come on a new 03 accord even tho the nosie is so faint that you proboly wont hear it but i do other than that no ratteling on headliner or any other problems well i notice the other day that when i put it into reverse it made a click sound and when i put it in drive it did it again but i think that is caused by the brake pads .... well ill see thank you guys for your minute.. but other than that car is fast and great on the open road ...................:driving:

How do you get 34MPG?!?!?!??? My LX 4cyl Auto can only get about 32 max with all freeway driving (cruising at 80). What speed do you drive to get 34MPG?

I was checking out http://www.fueleconomy.gov and it says there are SIX different versions of the 2.4L engine in the Accord - 2 LEV, 1 LEV-II, 2 BIN-5, and 1 SULEV-II. I would expect that California would see the SULEV-II version, however I have the regular 160HP LEV version. I would assume that the lower emission versions would get better fuel economy.

Before I bought my 03 LX Coupe I test drove a 00 LX Coupe. It was a ULEV engine (Green valve cover that said ULEV-VTEC), and I was rather disappointed with the power.

Venom, I have that same problem with the tick-tick-tick when the windows are rolled up. I thought it was just me, but other people have confirmed it, and I heard it on other cars. The funny thing is that when you open the windows, you can't hear it. I'm going to point that out to the dealer next week when I take it in for service along with all the other problems. (got the oil changed today, but they're too busy today to get to all the issues. Instead of me leaving my car there until Monday, I'm just going to takeit back next week)

BTW, anyone know how likely the dealer is to fix all these problems under warranty:

Vibration at speeds
Pulls to right
Slight vibration when braking
tick-tick-tick when idling and windows are up
driver side door molding 'wrinkling'
hood 1/8" too high on the drivers side near windshield
where front bumper meets hood - misaligned 1/16" inch
Rear speakers rattle
Center Storage (below radio) sticks when trying to open it
Headliner/Dashboard Rattle
Trim on A-pillar on driver side is a bit loose - 1/8" gap

The only things that I'm really concerned about is the misalignment of the hood (it bothers me to look at), the vibrations when cruising or braking, and the pulling to the right. I normally wouldn't care about the rest, however when paying 19,000 for a car, I expect these things to be absolutely perfect. This is my first new car, and I'm spending my hard earned cash on it.

Vibration at speeds - GET THEM TO BAL TIRES AND ALIGN FT-END
Pulls to right - SAM EAS ABOVE
Slight vibration when braking - CHECK ROTORS
tick-tick-tick when idling and windows are up - LIVE WITH IT
driver side door molding 'wrinkling' - REPLACE IT
hood 1/8" too high on the drivers side near windshield - DONO
where front bumper meets hood - misaligned 1/16" inch - OMG!
Rear speakers rattle - BELIVE THERE IS A TSB ON THIS ONE
Center Storage (below radio) sticks when trying to open it - REPLACE
Headliner/Dashboard Rattle - FELT AT WINDOW INTERFACES
Trim on A-pillar on driver side is a bit loose - 1/8" gap - FIX IT.

I think they will fix most of it, but the faint... knock knock knock knock knock when you have the windows up .. for get about it. The 4cly engines are sweet.... it's only purring. If you make a hugh deal out of that they will soon get very tired of you.

good luck.

matt, who should of about the avalon he wanted.

5,000+ miles. 6-disc CD player decided not to work once. Squeaking noice occured twice for a short period of time and now that's gone. Other than those problems everything is fine.

I have gotten as good as 36 on the freeway. Last weekend I got 34 driving 80 on hilly roads with a/c on and 100 degree weather. I have the manual tranny.

I drive an auto tranny car....

How do I do it? I cruise over 500miles pretty much. I go at exactly 70mph the whole way. I think I would get even better milage but when I do these trips I have about 500lbs worth of cargo (passengers +baggage). Other than that, absolutely nothing special...just cruise and smile

Edit: as a side note, my car is ULEV V6.

There seems to be a buttload of variability on the V6s. They go from very fuel efficient, to not. They also go from very well built, to not so well built. I dont know what is going on. Some people have 50peoblems other ... few to none.
