It doesnt matter, every new car you buy will have little things that annoy you, unless its Domestic, and you'll have major problems. btw, I think I have the most mileage on my ride, I just passed 30000KM, which is roughly 18000Miles, coming up on 1 yr on October 19th. No problems whatsoever, other than a little rattling in the B-Pillar Passenger side when its on AM Radio.

So how come when the car is barely a week old, the hood gets hit with a big rock from a truck tire? Then 2 weeks later in a parking lot, someone puts big black scrape marks on the back bumper?!!

I've never owned a car that attracted so much paint damage in it's first 4 weeks! D'ya think that's covered by the warranty?

Got my DX on July 31. Have 2xxxKM on it (1500 miles). Only have what seems like 2 problems:

1. Car pulls a little to the right.

2. I don't know if it's because of the tire pressure or because of something else, but I find the ride is a bit more rough than it should be when driving over a lot of cracks. I've checked the tire pressures and they are right (32psi in the front and 30 in the back). I used to drive a 97 Intrepid and strangely the ride was smoother in that than in my Accord. However when driving on newly-paved road, the ride is fine.

Otherwise the car is perfect. No rattles or wrinkling

Just got my first oil change this week (3750 miles - got my LX V6 Coupe July 3). No, read zero, problems so far. No rattles, squeaks, shakes. Just fun driving. My bud at work just bought his new EX V6 auto coupe and he loves his Accord too...also no issues yet. And he is as picky as anybody I know.

Me, too! I have about 4500 miles now. And it looks like my mpg even went up a bit after the first oil change.

In the past couple of weeks, I did finally experience the rotten egg smell - just twice. Both times it was after accelerating to pass someone on the highway, and both times it was just mild and only for a minute or so, so I don't even consider it a problem.

Those of you that were having a lot of trouble with this - is it still going on?

Um, stop following trucks and never park around other people in parking lots. Your own fault, sorry.

Default problems with the Honda 2003 EX

I am driving my fifth Honda, a 2003 Accord EX. For the first time in all the years driving Honda I have had substantial problems with this car. Early on the car developed rattles, a problem that has not been solved. I had problems with an air cleaner, misalignment, brakes and now at 44.000 miles, the lighting on my radio went out. Dealership told me that I needed a new radio at a cost of approximately $ 800. On the comfort side I have to say that the seat is the most uncomfortable of any other Honda I owned. The best one so far was my Accord 2000, which I passed on to my daughter who is still driving it with 98.000 miles and going strong. We did not have any repairs on this car and the seat is 100% better than my accord 2003.

As a positive note I must add that I am working with a rep at Honda to mitigate some of these problems.

WOW this thread is 3 years old. I have an 04, so far the tranny gave up but was fixed for free. I do feel some strange vibrations in idle and I am taking in for a check up. Other than that, everything else is fine.
