Did a road test today on my 2003 LX V6 Coupe. Speed varied a bit for the first 20 miles getting out of town, and a little driving around on dirt roads at my in-laws, otherwise drove at 82 mph (2500 rpm) with cruise on. So far I have 340 miles on the trip meter and still have 3/8 tank of gas left. It's going to come out to over 30 mpg. I can live with that.

I also goosed it up to 100 a couple of times...just couldn't resist.

Gas Mileage -- If you stick with High Octane pertro you will get better gas mileage. PERIOD. I dont care what anyone says, 93 or higher it will be better. My dumb a$$ girlfriend used my car and put 87 in it and I got like 300 on that tank. Trixy women! I know you west coast folks are taking it in the rear on gas prices but out here in DC its about 1.85 in the sketchy parts of the city for 93. However, I just got back from Europe and they pay close to a Euro a liter, about $4 a gallon. We have it good!

About the Wrinkling and Bubbling of the Driver Side Door Molding... did the dealer fix that for anyone? Its happening in my car and its really pissing me off.

Also, anyone else loosing the plastic covering on the front of your CD/AC display? Mine is coming loose on the bottom. Anyone else have this problem?

Take Care.

Someone needs to dyno test the same Accord V6 in the same temps at the same dyno machine on 87, 89, 91 and 93 octane gas. I know that 89 and 91 make a 10 or so horsepower difference, but I'm not sure if 93 affects that even more.

I dont like how our cars have a SLIGHT delay, if I am driving and then I floor it, you know their is a minor delay before it starts GOING...

Anyway I use to have NO problem with my car, untill I installed 2 12's, now even when they are off I got rattling EVERYWHERE, lol...

Dealer is like huh, wtf is wrong with your car? We cant fix all them, lol I understand it will rattle when they are on but when they are off and I am driving it shouldnt...

I got rattles in my headliner, door, and by the driver side mirror...

i guess you guys never heard of the idea of not buying the first model year of a redesign. honda should have these problems fixed/reduced in 2004 models.

I guess the problems are so miniscule that it really doesn't matter anyway.

most of the things I've complained about are minor, plus I've noticed similar defects in a LS430 (60k) and a Benz C class (50K.. I think.) With a little felt tape I got rid off the one noise I had. The engine tranny combo is peeerrrrfect. At this point my brakes have a judder at high speeds, which the dealer is going to look at, and I've heard about a possible recall.

I have a ex-l 4cyl man., so maybe by engine/tranny combo avoided many of the probs.

No doubt that both the assembly techs and the processes get more refined as time goes on. Plus engineering will make small changes to get rid of "problems" both by design and assembly techniques.

My car is very nice, but I bet the 2004's will be more refined. I would not have had to chase down the squeak most likely.

The read somewhere, either on the car or in the manual, that it's "recommended" using 87 octane. My mechanic tells me to juice it with Injector cleaner, 93 octane and dry gas on every oil change. I always thought going with a higher detergency would burn out my cylinder walls faster. I get about 300+ mpg on a tank, too.. I'd much rather take 400+, that's for sure! I have to use my trip odo to measure when I need go-go juice 'cause the damn gas guage HAS NEVER WORKED right!!

Boo Hoo. Scottsdale Arizona here, its $2.35 for regular up here beacuse some redneck fell asleep at the switch down and Tucson and blew up the gas pipeline. I have waited in lines 20-40 cars long for 2 weeks to fill up. People in Phoenix are paying as much as 4 or 5 dollars a gallon for regular... Now thats something to complain about!

03 Ex coupe, 13,000 miles! Not one problem, love the car!
