Rotors that won't rust
Ooooo. non-rust rotors would be sweeeet....i hate how my rims show my rusted rotors especially when i just washed the car. even when i wait until they cool down they still rust. geez.
i'm thinking about that high-temp idea. that looks (in mental picture) pretty damn good. thanks for the idea
did you use black or clear? ...or a color?

I believe all rotors will rust and even more so depending on the condition. But if you want some fairly good priced rotors, contact Race Concepts and ask for Woody...see if he will hook you up. Here are my EMC rotors ordered from there:

Easy killer, we've all seen some pretty ridiculous shit on this board, dont be a dick. you also failed to answer my question, does the paint chip on the edge of the rotors? I imagine it would but feel free to comment. . .

Hey VRGNCD5
When you painted your rotors did you tape them on the surface or did you just paint where you wanted and let the pads take off paint where you didn't ( I am in the middle of putting new ones on and hell I will just ripe em back off and paint em so the less taping the better
).
I am going for a red same as the calipers. I am painting and putting them both on this weekend (well maybe not since I am going to let them dry... )

There's nothing you can do or buy to _completely inhibit_ rust on blanks or CD's. Eventually, they'll begin to rust, even in California.
The rust will not affect braking in anyway...so just paint it. But be careful about the colour you choose - I've seen some pretty ugly jobs. Also remember, that eventually, the paint will chip unless you scrub the top layers of rust off before applying it.
